New Owner’s Doll Care Guide: Cleaning, Dressing, and Daily Handling

Important Tip

Many recommend storing the doll lying down, but I believe that if you acquire such a beautiful doll, you should always have it close at hand. My doll is usually always with me at my desk, sitting in her own chair.

My Care Routine

Washing Process

Now the naked body goes into my bathtub. In my experience, a bathtub is best because the doll can sit upright like a person, making it easier to reach all areas. Now I rinse the body with lukewarm (hand-warm) water to remove the worst of the dirt and, in my case (since I have dogs), all the little hairs.

Now I use a mild, skin-neutral soap and carefully apply it to the doll's entire body without applying much pressure. I also make sure to thoroughly scrub sensitive areas such as under the breasts, the armpits, Finger and Toe Gaps and the intimate area with the soap.

Now I rinse the doll completely with lukewarm water and remove all soap residue. Next, I detach the shower head from the shower hose. I insert the hose into both intimate openings to thoroughly clean them internally once more.

Drying

Now I use a large beach towel to lay the doll flat on it. With a second towel, I dry all parts of the body one by one. I take special care to only pat the damp areas and not wipe them, as this can damage the surface of the silicone.

Powdering

Now I use an old bed sheet and lay the dry doll flat on it again. I then completely cover the doll with powder. I leave it on the doll for 2-3 minutes. Afterward, I gently spread the powder over the entire body with my hand, using minimal pressure.

I wait another 5 minutes and then repeat the process of rubbing in the partially dried powder. This can be repeated several times. It feels as if the surface of the silicone is slowly absorbing the powder. Initially, the body is very white from the powder, but after each application, the normal skin tone returns. The old bed sheet can be shaken out in the fresh air after the process and reused for the powdering process.

Hanging Drying Method

I have a hook on my ceiling, which is from an old punching bag. I used an M16 threaded insert that fits the thread on the doll's neck. I also got a 50cm metal chain and two carabiners.

Now, the doll's body is hung from the ceiling. Here I usually leave the naked, powdered body to hang for 1-2 days to dry in peace and allow the powder to take effect. Of course, you can keep the shipping box and let the doll dry or store it in it if you have the space.
