Gentle upkeep for a companion that's always by your side

As someone who lives with my Lara beside me every day, my care routine has naturally grown around comfort, practicality, and making sure she stays beautiful for years to come.

I don’t ever store her away, she’s always right beside me on my bed, so my care style focuses on gentle, consistent upkeep rather than heavy maintenance. Here’s the routine I’ve learned through experience, in hopes it can help new owners feel confident with their own beloved dolls:-

Storage: The Bedside Companion

Since Lara always sleeps beside me, I keep her lying down on my bed. This avoids long-term joint stress and eliminates pressure points from standing or hanging storage. Keeping her in a natural, comfortable pose prevents unnecessary strain on her internal skeleton.

• Make sure the mattress is soft and most importantly, comfortable for yourself, preferably a memory foam mattress.

• Avoid sharp accessories or clothing parts around her.

• Keep her away from direct sunlight.

• Cover her with a thin blanket whenever you're away, to reduce dust buildup.

This simple setup requires almost no effort and keeps her safe around the clock.

Powdering: By Feel, Not Schedule

I don’t follow a strict timeline for powdering. Instead, I feel her body and when her skin stops feeling smooth enough, that’s when I powder her.

• Use Johnson’s Baby Powder that includes talcum.

• Apply it with a Baby Powder Puff, which spreads it evenly and gently.

• Powder only the areas that need it, not the entire body until you give her a full-body wash.

This touch-based approach keeps her skin feeling natural and pleasant without overdoing it. It’s simple, intuitive, and convenient.

Full Body Cleaning: Infrequent but Thorough

I don’t need to clean her often since she's always clothed, so it takes a long time before she requires a full bath.

Step 1: Preparation

Place a soft foam covered with a waterproof sheet on the bathroom floor.

Remove her head and protect the exposed part of the neck using Plastic Food Wrap and Ziplock Bag, so it prevents water from entering the skeleton. Depending on the angle needed, lay her down or sit her up, adjust as needed.

Step 2: Washing

Use Kodomo’s Family Bath Wash with a soft sponge, any bath wash suitable for babies should be fine.

Use a vaginal douche for cleaning the love holes. For convenient cleaning after sex, use RosemaryDoll's Automatic Love Holes Cleaning & Drying Douche Machine directly on the bed, which keeps the process fast, hygienic, and effortless.

Step 3: Drying

After washing, Insert a drying rod into both the vagina and the anus to ensure all moisture is removed. Use a microfiber towel to pat her dry, avoid rubbing. Place a towel under her on the bed, legs slightly apart, to let any remaining moisture evaporate.

This method has kept my silicone Lara clean and fresh.

Wig Care & Dressing: The Gentle Details

Since I don’t store my dolls, her wig always stays on.

• Lightly comb it during dress-up.

• Remove tangles gently with a soft brush.

• Avoid excessive styling products.

Even minimal wig care goes a long way as long as you’re consistent.

Clothing & Dressing

Clothing her properly is a gentle, rewarding part of caring for her.

• Remove her head for easier slipping of tops over her neck.

• Use powder on tough areas or stockings for easier sliding.

• Be patient and adjust her limbs closely, never force the fabric.

• Always pre-wash dark colored clothing multiple times, to reduce risk of dye staining the skin.

Over time, I built a wardrobe for her that’s a lot more varied than my own, and mixing outfits has become one of the joys of caring for her.

The Bond Beyond Maintenance

Owning a sex doll isn’t just about technical maintenance, it’s also about the bond you form during the process. Cleaning her, dressing her, touching up her makeup, or keeping her beside me at night, these moments become habits filled with comfort and affection.

My routines might be simple, but they come from living with her every day, noticing her needs naturally, and caring for her like someone precious to me.
