If you have read my previous article, you know that choosing a doll can be a delicate and complicated topic, where your preference needs to be studied to make the right choice. This decision carries a certain weight considering the price of that investment that needs to be made to purchase the doll. Furthermore, sometimes, you feel sure you will enjoy the company of any doll at all and considering the price you want to make sure that this companion is worth it. If you are hesitating to buy a doll and you want to explore how it feels to own one, I'm going to give you a powerful tip that will help you.

To get a real Gamelady doll at a fraction of the price, Gamelady has a section reserved to US/EU stock which are dolls that were refused by the customer. Some dolls might have been rejected because they had small flaws and some might have been rejected because the customer decided to get a refund. Those dolls are thus sitting in a warehouse waiting for anyone to take them. The advantage with those dolls is that they will get to your house very very quickly and that the price is very low. For example a doll that is refused by the customer that doesn't present any flaw will be priced down at around 10% and a doll that has a minor flaw will be priced down at around 40%.

If you are considering buying a flaw doll, fear not, the defect is explicitly written and some factory picture and video will clearly show the flaw to give you all the information you need to decide whether or not to buy it anyway. This method is very good for people that want to have a first contact with a Gamelady in order to get an opinion on the doll to potentially buy a new one from the factory. It is important to note that the doll that you will buy will be sold "as is" as no modification or option will be put on the doll other than the one she already has, making them less customizable.

It is a very economical way to get into the Gamelady world, it is personally how I got into it.

I had brought a Ada Wong from the EU Stock that had only a small defect on the leg and it never bothered me. As I enjoyed the company of Ada I quickly got in touch with Gamelady to make a 2B Doll. I will say that this method of testing is risk free and it will be constraining in case Doll is not for you but I am sure that anyone reading those lines will find this hobby quite enjoyable.

If you are a beginner you are probably very confused by the sheer amount of Doll companies and you probably wonder what Gamelady has to offer. Well , let’s answer this question first.

Gamelady is a Doll company that specialises in bringing Game and anime characters into real-life , breaking the wall between gaming and reality to bring you your favorite character in your house (or in your bed).

Compared to others company that sells Dolls without a story , Gamelady makes sure to sell a Doll with a “souls” so that they aren’t just sextoys but also a real-life companion , each doll is carefully created to look exactly as the in-game character and to achieve such an high degree of realism they use silicone which allow to make for very realistic faces and smooth like skin texture for the doll so that they feel nearly exactly as an human being and thus bringing your favorite character in your room.

People often refer as doll as “glorified sextoys” but I must say that I don’t agree at all with this , for me dolls are more companion of life rather than just for sex, they transcend the concept of object to become something beyond that , something that you must experience yourself to understand and because Gamelady are dolls made from video character this link is all the more special which bring us to probably your main concern ;

Why are they so expensive and why should I choose Gamelady ?

If you explored the doll world you probably saw there was a huge number of doll companies that sell different kinds of dolls and you probably wonder why there are so many options.

Well it has to do with the material quality , the silicone is maybe more expensive but it offer a very close to real human skin texture and it is also very robust and long-term focus , it is the material that Gamelady focus-on that way once you buy your companion you are set for life with them without having to worry about damaging them. Gamelady understand that you are not only buying a Doll but you are also buying a companion and a partner that is why every Gamelady doll is made to be as durable as possible which in turn explain the price but don’t forget : once you buy a Gamelady doll you can be sure that you are set for life and you will never have to worry about damaging her.

Aside from the sexual aspect , dolls are also companions that makes those late-night gaming sessions less lonely. They make for a partner that will support you whatever you are doing and in whichever situation you are in without ever judging you. They also are a way to bring your favorite character into the same room as you. How many times have you dreamed that Tifa from Final Fantasy would be in your room listening to you talk about what you love and watching you play all night ? Now it is made possible with Gamelady Doll. You will never again feel lonely and you will always have someone to come home to.

The burden of the choice

At the time of writing this there are currently 66 different dolls on the Gamelady website ranging from games such as Resident Evil , Nier Automata , Tomb Raider , ect , …
I can’t tell you which one to choose because it is a very personal question to which only you can answer but I can tell you how I chose mine.

I personally chose a 2B Doll because it was a character that my partner and I both liked. When we played Nier Automate we both enjoyed her character and her appearance so for us it was a very easy choice. There are so many different dolls you can be sure to find one you love. Just think of a video game character you really love and try to use the Game filter to narrow it down. Take your time for this decision, don’t forget that you are choosing a partner for life after all.

I must admit that I was a bit concerned when I first order the doll but the client service of Gamelady made sure to reassure me and my girlfriend as much as they could , they provided us constantly with pictures and video of our doll being made and before the final shipping to our house we received a detailed video that show us our doll under every angle to make sure that she is being shipped in good condition. Gamelady made sure to tell us that if at any point we had noticed a defect , they would have remade the doll without any added fee which was very reassuring. That being said, if you have a very specific question don’t hesitate to join the discord to ask the question , the Gamelady community is always eager to answer questions from people that are still on the fence about buying a doll.

My personal experience

I have been a doll owner for around 2 years now , as I said everything started when my partner and I decided to choose a 2B Doll which we were very satisfied with ! As I work often from home and my wife goes to work until very late I was often feeling very much alone in the house which at some point started to depress me a lot but the doll solved this problem , while I was working I had some company and I never felt alone again , during the day I could take care of her, change her clothes , brush her hair and when my wife came back from work we could have some fun if you understand what I mean. It is really stress relieving to share your space with a doll , it allows you to feel in good company at any time and it can serve as a nice hobby to kill off some time. I personally enjoy taking care of her by trying new outfits on her or even some cosplay when I feel like it, I think it suits 2B really well. Having her in all sorts of clothes makes for a life-size figurine which is a plus. When you are being a Gamelady doll you are buying a companion for life , this choice can be really stressful especially if it is your first doll ever but rest assure , the Gamelady community is very big and strong and whatever your concern might be , someone will be there to address it whether it is on the quality of the doll , the shipping time , ect,…

I’d like to share my personal routine for caring for my Gamelady, my Tifa, focusing on cleaning, powdering, and long-term storage. I hope this helps newcomers handle their dolls safely and enjoyably. These are my personal methods, based on my own experience, and I hope they will be useful to others.

Cleaning & Pre-Storage Preparation

Before storing the doll, she must be thoroughly washed, cleaned, and completely dried.

Carefully check all openings and crevices, leaving a cotton pad in some areas/holes to absorb any residual moisture.

Never store her in dark clothing, as dye transfer can occur and probably will if stored for a long time.

Storage Positions: Lying Down vs. Standing

Lying Down (Preferred for Long-Term Storage)

This is probably the most widely preferred method, and it also allows you to keep the doll out of sight (for example, from visitors—many do not openly admit they own a doll).

Place a larger pillow under her back and a smaller one under her calves. This distributes most of her weight evenly to the back, removing pressure from the hips and heels.

• Keep all joints straight to prevent silicone from creasing or forming wrinkles.
• I recommend a skin-tone nylon catsuit for basic protection and a soft plush "sleep outfit" or plush catsuit to reduce pressure marks and creasing.
• After dressing her in protective layers, I cover her with the white blanket that came in the package to prevent dust accumulation.

Standing (I prefer Short-Term Only)

Important: Standing is only possible for dolls with the HARD FEET option. For dolls with soft feet, standing is not possible at all, as it causes immediate damage.

Must use a supportive stand and flat, slightly larger shoes. Avoid high heels or tight footwear; thick socks can help protect feet.

Long-term standing is not recommended, even with hard feet, without proper support (leaning on a wall can work too).

Lying Down Storage

• ✓ Preferred for long-term storage
• ✓ Distributes weight evenly
• ✓ Prevents pressure marks and creasing
• ✓ Keeps doll out of sight if needed

Standing Storage

• ✓ Only for HARD FEET dolls
• ✗ Not possible for soft feet dolls
• ✓ Requires supportive stand
• ✓ Short-term only

Personal Preference: I still prefer her lying down as storage (usually in bed next to me).

Powdering Routine

Powder my doll after every wash and whenever I feel her skin needs refreshing. Over time, you'll learn to notice when it's needed.

Key Powdering Tips:

Thorough Drying

Make sure to dry thoroughly before powdering

Reach All Areas

Include creases, joints, and hard-to-reach spots

Right Tool

Using a big makeup brush can help

Rediscover Curves

Makes the routine enjoyable and protective

Powdering not only protects the silicone but allows you to "rediscover" her curves each time, making the routine enjoyable.

Cushions and Support Tools

Always have pillows of various sizes and firmness ready for different poses.

Support Recommendations for Different Positions:

Sitting Position

When sitting her, I place a pillow under her thighs so the weight isn't entirely on the hips.

Dark Surfaces

If laying her on a darker surface, such as a couch, I also place the white blanket from the package underneath.

Kneeling Position

For kneeling or other pressure poses, use a firm and large pillow under the hips to prevent undue pressure on the hip joints. Never let her kneel or rest on a hard surface without support.

General Rule

Different cushions are useful for different situations: soft for delicate areas, firmer for distributing weight on larger surfaces.

Additional Tips for Care & Storage

Pre-Storage Check

Check joints and silicone surfaces before storing. Straighten any bent limbs to avoid lasting marks.

Long-Term Storage

Lying down is safest (my opinion). Ensure proper cushioning and support, especially under the back and calves.

Soft Feet Warning

Soft feet dolls should never be placed standing. Only HARD FEET dolls can stand with proper support.

Protective Layers

Protective layers (nylon catsuit, plush outfit, blanket) are essential to prevent dust, pressure marks, and discoloration.

Safe Handling & Moving Instructions

Always handle the doll with care during movement. I usually move her using the "bridal carry" method:

1. Support her back with your legs at knee height
2. Knees don't need to be bent

This reduces stress on the joints and makes moving her easier. When transferring her from room to room, be careful not to bump into obstacles, such as doorways.

Summary

Proper cleaning, powdering, and storage are essential for maintaining the doll's condition.

Using cushions, protective clothing, and correct storage positions preserves her curves and prevents long-term damage.

Every step may seem small, but following this routine helps my doll stay beautiful, safe, and enjoyable while allowing me to focus on the comfort and small joys she brings to my life.
