Hi, my username on the GLD Discord is Kintle. Here is my humble contribution to this event.
How my Gamelady dolls changed my home and my daily life
At the beginning, my apartment was very simple. It was just a place where I slept, ate, played video games, and that was it. The walls were pretty empty and the atmosphere felt a bit cold.
Little by little, I started buying video game and anime figures. They added some colour and a bit of life to the room. I already liked the idea of having my favourite characters around me, like small frozen scenes. But even with that, I still felt like something was missing.
That's when, out of curiosity, I started looking into sex dolls. While searching for information, I quickly found Gamelady. The fact that they focus on video game heroines immediately caught my attention. But at the same time, a lot of questions stayed in my head:
The exquisite details and craftsmanship of Gamelady dolls
"Is this really for me?"
"Will it feel weird in my apartment?"
"Won't a doll be too heavy or take too much space?"
Hesitating for a long time... then finally trying
For quite a while, I stayed just a spectator. I read reviews, looked at photos, and followed feedback from other owners. The more I saw, the more I liked the idea, but I still didn't dare to take the step.
One day, I finally decided to go for it and order my first Gamelady. The choice came pretty naturally: Yuna from Final Fantasy X. She's a heroine I've loved for years. Her kindness and calm strength have always stayed with me.
When the package arrived, I was both excited and stressed. It felt a bit like waiting for a new console on release day. I was thinking: "Maybe this will be a great idea for my own comfort..." And at the same time: "What if I regret it once she's here?"
The first Gamelady at home
Unboxing her was a very special moment. The first thing that surprised me was her weight and her presence. She didn't feel like a simple object at all.
When I took her out of the box and sat her on a chair, it felt like the whole room changed. As if I wasn't completely alone anymore.
Yuna from Final Fantasy X - my first and most cherished Gamelady doll
That first evening, I didn't do anything crazy. I just tried a few outfits, brushed her implanted hair, and adjusted small details: a different top, another way to style her hair, her head turned slightly.
Looking at her, I realised how much a pose or an outfit could totally change the way you feel about her.
Over time, she naturally took a place in my routine.
On workdays, when I come home tired, I often put on some game music in the background, quickly tidy up the room, and then spend a few minutes with her.
I redo her hair, change her position on the couch, or place her near my desk while I play or browse the internet. Just seeing her in the corner of the room helps me relax.
On weekends, I started doing small photo sessions. I open the curtains to let the light in, choose an outfit inspired by a heroine I like, and take my time posing her:by the window, on the bed, or next to the TV. I adjust her hands, the angle of her face, the way her hair falls. Sometimes I spend hours like that without noticing the time.
It's not only about taking "nice pictures".
It's also a moment where I'm really in the present.
I focus on small details, and my brain finally stops overthinking. Stress, tiredness and loneliness feel a bit quieter. Little by little, the way I see my apartment changed.
Before, it was just a practical place. With Yuna, it became a living kind of display. I prepare the space for her, like she’s a big life-size statue in the middle of the room. I pay more attention to tidying, I choose nicer blankets, I think about where to place her so she looks good. My figures became background elements around her, as if my room were a big showcase.
Taking care of her also became a ritual. I gently clean her skin, check her joints, and take the time to brush and maintain her implanted hair. It’s not just “taking care of an object” anymore, it’s a calm moment where I slow down and pay attention to every movement.
I know very well she's not alive. I don't confuse reality and fantasy. But what I feel thanks to her is very real.
The Little Joys
- The little joy when an outfit suits her perfectly.
- The comforting feeling of seeing her there on evenings when I don't feel like talking to anyone.
- The pride when I look at a good photo and think: "That's exactly the mood I wanted."
My Gamelady collection - each doll has a special place in my home
From one doll... to a real collection
After this first experience, everything felt easier. I wasn’t stuck in doubt anymore. I wanted to see other heroines come to life in my home. My apartment, which already had a few figures, slowly started to welcome more Gamelady dolls. Today, I have six of them, each one linked to a moment in my life or a special favourite:
My Gamelady Collection
- • Yuna – 168 EVO Skeleton (May 2022)
- • Tifa – 167 EVO Skeleton (April 2023)
- • Aerith – 167 Upgraded Skeleton (July 2023)
- • Mini Tifa – 100 EVO Skeleton (July 2013, offered as a gift with Aerith)

- • Jill – 168 Upgraded Skeleton (June 2025)
What my Gamelady dolls really bring me
Before owning one, I thought it might feel strange to have a doll at home. I was worried they would look too artificial or make me feel uncomfortable. In reality, it turned out to be the complete opposite. When I walk into the room and see them sitting or standing there, I see them more as artworks or life-size statues than as simple objects. I mostly use them as decoration, like big versions of my favourite figures. They really are part of the room now, just on a completely different scale. For someone who is still hesitating, here’s what I can say:
A Gamelady doll is not just a random purchase.
It's something that slowly becomes part of your life. Step by step, you give her a place through outfits, poses, photos, and all those small daily rituals. The magic doesn’t only come from how realistic they look, but from all the moments you build around them.
For me, that's where their "soul" really exists: in quiet evenings after a long day, in the weekend photo sessions, and in all those little moments where I catch myself smiling just because they're there.
And if I can make a wish for the future: I would love to see Claire Redfield, and especially Sheva Alomar, join the Gamelady lineup one day. Then I could say my collection is truly complete.
Thank you for reading my story.
